Welcome to the ASSOCIATION POUR LE DEVELOPPEMENT DES INITIATIVES DES FEMMES ET ENFANTS EN DIFFICULTE (ADIFED). We are a legally registered non-profit dedicated to empowering women, supporting vulnerable children, fostering community development and providing humanitarian aid across Burkina Faso.

The ASSOCIATION POUR LE DEVELOPPEMENT DES INITIATIVES DES FEMMES ET ENFANTS EN DIFFICULTE (ADIFED) was founded on a simple conviction: when a woman gains the means to provide for her family, and when a child is protected and educated, an entire community moves forward. From our base in Lafiabougou, Bobo-Dioulasso, we work every day with households facing poverty, displacement, illness, early school dropout and social exclusion.
Our philosophy is one of dignity and partnership. We do not see the people we serve as beneficiaries alone, but as actors of their own development. Through skills training, savings groups, educational support, health awareness and psychosocial accompaniment, ADIFED helps women and children rebuild confidence and autonomy.

Our Mission
Our mission is to uplift disadvantaged women and children in Burkina Faso by providing the essential educational, economic and social resources they need to live with dignity. Under our official non-profit structure, ADIFED delivers vocational training and income-generating support to women, ensures that vulnerable children have access to schooling, protection and care, and accompanies families through health and social challenges.
We pursue this mission through community participation, partnership with local authorities and civil society, and a firm commitment to sustainable, locally owned solutions that continue long after each project ends.
Our Vision
We envision a Burkina Faso where every woman can participate fully and equally in economic and social life, and where every child grows up safe, healthy, educated and heard. A country where social equity is not an aspiration but a lived reality in every neighborhood and village.
In the long term, ADIFED aims to build a network of self-sustaining women's cooperatives, child-friendly community spaces and local protection committees across the Hauts-Bassins region and beyond, contributing to the national goals of sustainable development, gender equality and child protection.
